It’s a cosy Sunday afternoon and I had a little spare time on my hands so thought I would make some chocolate orange cookies. It’s been a while since I last had a chance to bake. When I was a teen I used to bake something almost every weekend and share with my family and friends. It’s hard to find the time anymore. I normally work most weekends and I really miss baking.
Over Christmas I loved eating chocolate oranges. During the year, I will not pick them up at all until December arrives. Now I have a couple still in the house so I thought I would bake some cookies with them. I used Tanya Burr’s Orange Chocolate Tear and Share Cookie recipe from the book Tanya’s Christmas. With this recipe I made individual cookies instead and swapped out caster sugar for coconut sugar.
There is nothing better than staying in with cup of tea, munching on some cookies and watching Friends on a Sunday afternoon.
